Pop's Pan

This is Scott's "Doc" new build. Just a little backround on this bike. After starting Old School Choppers three years ago Scott began complaining that he did not have one of our own bikes to ride on a regular bases. A new business requires all profits be returned so the business can grow. Scott Sr. "Pop's" had the Sleeper, which is the fetured chopper, to ride and never had any real plans of selling it. Pop's had a blown up Panhead that he planned on rebuilding and building a new bike. Right around Christmas of 2008 Pop's layed the Panhead and a little bit of build cash on Scott so he could build a bike for himself. Scott began planning a build and in the mean time rebuilt the Panhead right using all S&S guts. Not to mention a strocker kit along with decking the cyliders and skirts to really increase the HP's. The engine was completed shortly after Christmas and the plan was to slowly build the bike. Well a big local bike show was scheduled for the end of January 2009 and we really never had any plans of completing this build for that show. Nine days before the show Flack decided that it would be a great idea to have this bike for the show. So in nine days all the boys in the shop put in long hours staying most nights until 3-4am. At noon the day before the show parts began trickling in from powder coat, chrome, and the paint shop. We all stayed and were able to finish the bike for the show. Scott dedicated the build and the bike to his Father "Pop's" by adding small things that meant something to them both.

Special thanks goes out to all the guys in the shop Flack, Danno, and Mongo for their help and long hours. Thanks also to Franny Drummond who layed down an awsome paint job in just a few days and without notice, Jim and Jeff Barber of J B PowderCoaters, and Don Maloney of DGM Custom Metal for the chrome.

Last but not least Thanks Dad !!

Although the bike appears complete, which was the objective for the show, there are still things that need to be done and a few final changes before it will be deemed complete. So please check back soon to see the final pictures.
